So whether your making cocktails for a party crowd or simply wanting a cosy cocktail at home these are our top 4 picks, perfect for any occasion...

Mojito

Ingredients:

  •  50ml Spiced Rum
  • 25ml Lime Juice
  • 15ml Sugar Syrup (you can swap this out for 2 tsp of caster sugar, if you prefer)
  • 6-8 Mint Leaves
  • Soda Water
  • Garnish with a lime wedge & sprig of mint

Method:

  1. Lightly muddle together the mint leaves, sugar syrup/sugar and lime juice in a tall glass.
  2. Add the spiced rum into the glass and fill with crushed ice.
  3. Top the drink up with soda water and gently stir.
  4. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge.

Dark 'n' Stormy

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Spiced Rum
  • 150ml Ginger Beer
  • 10ml Lime Juice
  • Bitters
  • Garnish with a lime wedge

Method:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Pour the ginger beer and lime juice into the glass.
  3. Float the spiced rum on top by slowly pouring over the back of a spoon.
  4. Top with a dash of bitters.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Cuba Libre

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Spiced Rum
  • 120ml Cola
  • 10ml Lime Juice
  • Garnish with a lime wedge

Method:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Add the spiced rum and fresh lime juice into the glass.
  3. Top with cola and gently stir.
  4. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Mai Tai

Ingredients:

  • 40ml Spiced Rum
  • 20ml Dark Rum (this is to float on top)
  • 15ml Orange curaçao
  • 10ml Almond Syrup
  • 25ml Lime Juice
  • Garnish with a sprig of mint, lime slice and a cherry

Method:

  1. Add the spiced rum, orange curaçao, almond syrup and lime juice into a cocktail shaker with lots of ice.
  2. Shake the mix until well chilled.
  3. Strain the mix into a rocks glass with crushed ice.
  4. Float the dark rum on the top of the drink, this is done by slowly pouring the spirit over the back of a small spoon.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of mint, a lime slice and a cherry.
