So here are our top 4 picks for London Dry Gin based cocktail recipes for you to try at home:

Classic G&T

Ingredients:

  • 50ml London Dry Gin (this is for a double, a single measure is 25ml)
  • 150ml Premium tonic water (this could be normal tonic or slimline tonic. You can also opt for a flavoured tonic for example Mediterranean tonic or elderflower tonic, these both work very well with London Dry Gin!)
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or grapefruit slice

Method:

  1. Fill your glass of choice with ice (we recommend the SP globe glass or any other globe or highball glass you have).
  2. Pour in the gin first and then top with your tonic of choice.
  3. Stir gently to combine together.
  4. Garnish with a lime wedge or a slice of grapefruit.

French 75

Ingredients:

  •  30ml London Dry Gin
  • 15ml Lemon Juice
  • 10ml Sugar Syrup
  • 75ml Champagne or prosecco (this is to top)
  • Garnish with a lemon peel twist or a slice of lemon

Method:

  1. Add the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake until mix is chilled.
  3. Fine strain the mix into a champagne flute.
  4. Top the glass up with champagne or prosecco of your choice.
  5. Garnish with a lemon peel twist or slice.

English Garden

Ingredients:

  • 40ml London Dry Gin
  • 15ml Elderflower Cordial (you can also use elderflower liqueur if you wish)
  • 75ml Cloudy Apple Juice (this is to top)
  • 20ml Lime Juice
  • OPTIONAL: you can also add in 25ml of plum gin liqueur to this recipe
  • Garnish with a lime wedge, cucumber slice and sprig of mint

Method:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Add the gin, elderflower, lime juice and apple juice to the glass and build.
  3. Stir the mix gently to combine.
  4. Garnish with a slice of cucumber, lime wedge and/or sprig of mint.

Basil Smash

Ingredients:

  • 50ml London Dry Gin
  • 25ml Lemon Juice
  • 15ml Sugar Syrup
  • 6-8 Fresh Basil Leaves
  • Garnish with basil leaves or a whole sprig of basil

Method:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, lightly muddle together the basil leaves, sugar syrup and lemon juice.
  2. Add the gin to the shaker along with some ice.
  3. Shake hard until the mix is combined and well chilled.
  4. Fine strain the mix into a rocks style glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of basil, or basil leaves.
